Royal Challengers Bengaluru delivered a dominant performance to cruise to a nine-wicket victory over UP Warriorz in a Women’s Premier League match in Navi Mumbai, chasing down a target of 144 with remarkable speed.
Grace Harris led the charge with a sensational knock of 85 from 40 balls, racing to the fastest half-century of the season off just 22 deliveries. Her clean and fearless hitting broke the back of the chase inside the powerplay itself.
Smriti Mandhana played the perfect supporting role, remaining unbeaten on 47 from 32 balls as the opening pair put together a decisive 137-run stand. RCB completed the chase in only 12.1 overs, significantly boosting their net run rate.
Earlier, UP Warriorz recovered from a top-order collapse through a steady partnership between Deandra Dottin and Deepti Sharma to post 143 for five, but the total proved well short against RCB’s relentless batting display.
The emphatic win strengthened Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s position at the top of the Women’s Premier League standings and underlined their growing momentum in the tournament.
