Navi Mumbai, Jan 10 — Mumbai Indians Women produced a dominant all-round performance to defeat Delhi Capitals Women by 50 runs in Match No. 3 of the Women’s Premier League at the DY Patil Sports Academy.
Batting first, Mumbai Indians Women posted an imposing 195 for 4 in their 20 overs, powered by captain Harmanpreet Kaur’s fluent 74 off 42 balls and a composed 70 from Nat Sciver-Brunt. The pair ensured Mumbai maintained momentum throughout the innings, keeping the Delhi bowlers under sustained pressure.
For Delhi Capitals, Nandini Sharma stood out with the ball, finishing with figures of 2 for 30.
Chasing a steep target of 196, Delhi Capitals struggled to build partnerships as wickets fell regularly. Chinelle Henry offered late resistance with an unbeaten 46 off 28 balls, but lacked support at the other end.
