New Delhi, Oct 5, 2025: The Union Cabinet on Tuesday approved the establishment of five new integrated textile and apparel parks under the “PM-MegaTex” initiative, aimed at enhancing India’s export competitiveness and generating over one lakh direct jobs.
Each park will host dyeing, weaving, finishing and garmenting units in a plug-and-play ecosystem, with 40% capital support from the Centre.Textile Minister Piyush Goyal said the project would “modernize India’s traditional clusters while supporting sustainability and circularity in fashion.”
